I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.
I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.
I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

I’m 51 and love Makeup!
I agree, don't get too depressed. Sure we change as we age but there are all sorts of great things we can do to camouflage it like the tips in this video which are great. Bottom line is do what YOU like. Everybody has different ideas about what looks good. If you're seventy and want to use bold glitter eyeshadow DO IT! Look at Joan Collins she still looks great
Grey eyebrows, my nightmare…..
im 18 but i was born with crap eyelashes and hooded eyes :/
no one likes getting old. I certainly don't. I'm 44
Extremely useful. Thank you Lisa!!
Great video as always Lisa. I know it's old but its timeless. I love your 'less is more' approach and REALLY love that you aren't promoting "what I'm loving at the moment" which translates to "what I'll get paid for promoting". I don't aim to look like I did in my twenties- I am to look my best self for today. I am sure I will be wearing make up and loving it until I'm in my 90's if I am so blessed 🙂
You look luminous! Gorgeous. I love what you've done with your eyes.
Wear your sunscreen.
lisa, what is this fab lip palette you are using??? Japonesque? ty great tips!!!
Girls : don't feel depressed : I am 62 and I love putting on make up ! I still feel YOUNG ! The only thing that bothers me a bit are my hooded eye lids, I'm thinking about eye surgery !!! This is Marie again in France with her bad school English 🙂
Should be anti-aging (not anti-ageing)
Yessssssssssss!
Fabulous video. I'd figured out my face was falling and I needed to re-do make up. One problem I haven't seen addressed is the outer part of the lip is turning down. This makes me look angry. People have treated me differently. I've tried light yellow concealer, highlighters at the bottom outer edge. Failure!
People address under eye circles, naso labial lines and all manner of things. But I don't want to look angry when I'm not.
HELP
I adore your technique and helpful tips, always has classic elegance to it. *side note at the end of the video (9:54) the finished look reminds me of Natalie Portman.
I love your rings so much, de golden ones… please tell where are they from??
One rule of thumb is to use Mattes- I've found the Anastasia mattes to be some of the most buttery ones available… I have Viseart, too, but they are not as buttery or soft, at least the palette of neutral mattes I got isn't.
I used to turn so many heads when I was younger and kind of hated it as I was very shy and insecure by then. Now, I am 60 and have kept my size 8 figure, take care of my hair and wear subtle makeup and wear nice clothes no one ever gives me a glance. It is like I have become invisible and that is depressing. Getting old sucks and no one can persuade me otherwise.
thankyou lisa
great practical easy to follow advice
Fab as usual 🙂 Thank you Lisa

"The beauty of the eyes is completely lost" WHAT?? I understand you like to promote makeup but those remarks are completely uncalled for. What a terrible thing to say to older women. It proves that make-up is not that "fun pastime" some beauty gurus claim it is, but a tool to get women to hate themselves and spend money. Terrible.
Such sound advice and all of it works!
Wow!! You look like Natalie Portman!!
Very helpful and inspiring. Greatly appreciated, fun and kind of easy
An amazing video. Loved all the tips and the affirmations that I am doing some things right! So helpful about colours, although I think my colouring must be similar to yours as I agree with what you say about "dead" colours and blue pinks. Going to try using the cheaper brands instead of spending a fortune and ending up with pretty much the same sorts of colours all the time. Thank you so much for all your help. I LOVE make-up – always have – and realise how important it becomes as we age and our natural colour diminishes. Just trying to keep it less obvious and more natural now.
