Every since I first met Claire I wanted to do contoured look on her. A look that involved simply bringing out her bone structure in a healthy looking way. The transformative effect of sculpting and highlighting a face is something that always blows me away …. the power of make-up! Btw, In the before shot on the poster frame Claire is already wearing foundation and concealer.

Disclaimer
I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. I just have never had good contouring on me. I've been done by makeup artists and by myself and I've come to feel, it just doesn't work on me. It always looks too much and muddy. I have quite naturally ruddy and full cheeks. I've tried several shades and methods. Is there some that it just does not suit, or should I try again because I do like it subtly on others?

  2. Why do people feel the need to make a comment comparing lisa to beauty gurus? I think it's obvious these aren't the same type of videos. They don't cater to the same crowd. Frankly it's rude. The other YouTube personalities are doing just fine. Their makeup is still beautiful. It's just a different esthetic and feel. Maybe it's not your cup of tea, but it's not bad makeup. A lot of the tips offered by them are actually really good. I've learned a lot from them and I've learned a lot from lisa. Many of them are makeup artists with celebrity clients. Almost all of them have a background in makeup outside of YouTube. All I'm saying it's be kind. Most of these people are kids with a dream. Encourage dreams.

  3. see now THIS what i call contouring! she's mimicking natural shadows on her skin tone according to her skin color, not rubbing in vigorously a blasted crayon on the hollows of her cheeks, forehead and sides of her nose. she went steady with the colour, focusing on subtlety, quite unlike the the Instagram and YouTube cloonies and I quote beauty bloggers who only live by slobbering on their product and looking YAAS, SLAY and QUEEN.
if it wasn't for you Lisa i would've given up learning makeup on YouTube. id rather learn it from an actual makeup artist who treats makeup as a tool and nothing more rather than from a nincompoop who hyperventilates about it and treats it like their most cherished personal belonging.
