  4. Yes! I have been ridiculed by my sisters for using my fingers for foundation instead of brushes or a sponge! But it’s so hygienic and I see no difference in result

  5. This is so refreshing! I've found that luxury brands in department stores want to match foundation to the jaw area, which of course gets the most sun and has the most freckles. That may look OK under fluorescent store lighting, but you get in the car and it's yellow streaks everywhere.

  10. After much trial and error, I find that for myself, fingers are sooo much better for applying foundation. There is something about the finish that is natural and skin like and you dont waste any product or need to clean brushes or sponges. I prefer make up to look like me but better, enhancing but not hiding…instead of what most do now in days which is totally eclipse the face in product after product.

For extremely fair skin this look is amazing.  I see so many people with immaculate make up but the dark contrasting make up is shocking that it looks clown like or just severe.  I have extremely pale skin and the only time one would wear dark makeup is when you know there will be ultra bright lights where you're going somewhere special and you've been under the weather.  Even then it's fairly muted tones.

  21. What I'm a little disappointed about is that THE most interesting moment of this video would've been how Mary finished the foundation into the flawless finish! You cut it from slapping it onto the face to >flawless finish/foundation done. Fail…

  30. Her technique of using just hands is best if you'd like a natural finish on the face and blended more than brushes & sponges. I've learned that when I did foundation with brush, it would sometimes look heavy. There was a makeup artist that worked with me & she used subtle and gentle techniques with Mac face & body. I absolutely loved it because it looked effortless.

  32. Oh my. Lisa, you look absolutely beautiful in this natural make-up look! During the first few seconds in the beginning, I actually thought it was Natalie Portman giving an intro. lol

  38. I love this but not all redheads are super super pale and freckled with light eyes. I have ginger hair but brown eyes and yellow undertones… there are never any tutorials with this complexion 🙁
