I had so many requests for a tutorial on this look after I wore it in the ‘New French Manicure’ video (and more recently, the fashion week ‘Giveaway’). The funny thing is, I was running so late that day, it’s ironically one of the quickest and least thought-out looks I’ve ever done on myself! Very little technique and expert blending is needed so it’s good for everyone including make-up rookies! You can adapt the look by adding eyeliner to make it look more done or evening. With all the rosy blush, highlighter and shimmery eyes, Its a really nice skin boosting look too. Pretty for day or night when you need to look polished and pulled together in a jiffy! Hope you enjoy watching.

I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. I have watched so many make-up youtubers and I like your videos the best. You have a great style, not only the way you film your videos, but the style of your makeup. You don't cover up yourself with makeup, you enhance yourself with it, and I really appreciate that about you. So hard to find youtubers who aren't bogged down with all the industry bs, and who actually have class. Thanks for being yourself, and yourself is awesome. Keep it up!! xoxo

  2. Lisa looks stunning before the tutorial even starts, it's always hard for me to imagine how she could make any improvements on a face that's already so lovely

  3. Love it! i have quite a few palettes with just shimmery cream eyeshadows and i've definitely got a gray color like that in 1 or 2 of them, i may use it in future but will have to test if it suits me first, even low end cream shimmer shadows have gd pigment so why i love them, i really like that peachy lip pencil too. I was experimenting with my powder shimmery eyeshadow palette a bit ago and i definitely suit champaign and peachy colors like you, in the palette there's this really nice champaign color in there that i LOVE, such colors are so nice, the pigment isn't that great tho but it goes on enough so that it gives a more natural eyeshadow look which is fine with me but think i'll just use the lighter shadows just on my eyelid as to not waste it, i need to find some gd lip pencils stat.

  4. That light color looks great with dark eyes, not so with blue…and I believe that one should only wear eyeliner when either going to a party or in the evening or just because they are very artistic. "Commoners/ common things are just that: can't be ( not ever) "spiced up."

  5. This grey mauve eye and light melon lip combination is so pretty and natural, thank you!  I would love it if you found time to do some tutorials for grey/white hair and the best colours for the skin and eye colour.

  6. Your tutorials are so informative and the end result is ever so excellent. Would love for you to add some makeup tutorials on brown skin…specifically how to choose foundation, and flattering lip and eye colours.

  7. I always find Lisa's videos very helpful, and the best advice was ask the make-up desks to give you free samples to take home and try in daytime normal light. I did this for every top make and it was amazing the differences for them all and which ones were best, not just colour but texture and weight. The lighting in many Dep stores is appallingly misleading. Always go for one near a window. Also good that Lisa uses a range of products from high street/Boots products to high end as well, so a good mix for all budgets and occasions. One question. I find as I age a little, some areas need a bit more moisturiser. So I took advice and use non-oil moisturiser from Neutrogena, but if I put foundation on top and then powder, the oil shine comes through half way through the day….is there any other base that would do this to help beneath the foundation, if needed? Or do I simply pad on powder compact during the day as normal and accept this as a fact of life!

  8. Lisa, I can not begin to tell you what a breath of fresh air you and your tutorials are for me. It is so refreshing and uplifting to learn; after my many years, that it is not necessary to cover one's entire face with foundation. Love the way the No.7 Coral lip pencil looks on you by the way. I want to give it a try as I have always gravitated to peach and coral shades. Outstanding talent and many thanks!

  9. I've gone through many beauty bloggers or youtubers, a lof of them tend to focus more on how the packaging looking so fabulous, luxurious and expensive, as well as putting a lot of adjectives describing how they receive from the fabulousness, luxury out of the products before or while they are tutoring. I love them sharing their emotional thoughts and feelings, but the purpose for me to follow their make up turorials is to understand the logic behind why they chose this instead of many other products for this look, and why she chose to apply the products this way, maybe even how she would suggest others to adapt the tutorial to themselves. To be honest, I felt a bit discouraged after watching many other tutorials, it either looks only great on the beauty youtuber she herself or it doesn't really explain good enough for me to get the look on me. And then I found Lisa's channel by accident, specifically by her nude lip video since I am a big fan of nude colours, I suddenly had mine ideas straightened out, there was a lot of information explaining the logic between different type of 'Nude' toward different skin tone, it is the first time I knew there could be 'wrong' nude which will fail your look in a bad way. After that video, I have taken a close look of more of Lisa's everyday look tutorials, they all make a bunch of sense. I am really appreciated, thanks for all the good and helpful videos, Lisa!

  10. Yep, today we had a party at work and I had a minimum makeup with me – so I had to do miracles with it – and somehow ended up with makeup like this… – and I got beautiful compliments, haha 🙂 I saw this video long time ago but it sank into my unconscious mind apparently 🙂 so I fished it out and looked gorgeous.
THANK YOU, LISA, FOR YOUR LADYLIKE SUBTLE ELEGANT LOOKS xxxxx

  11. Hi Lisa, As this is an old video, that Chanel cream eyeshadow is obsolete. It's gorgeous!! I would be so happy if you could advise what are some other "single" shadow options that could help us achieve this fast chic look without agonising over eyeshadow applications skills? I have the same Light-Med skin tone and love your suggestions

  12. I really LOVE how you carry yourself & the makeup you do .. it's natural, effortless & classy.. It really enhances your beauty rather than make you a completely different person.. I would love it if you done a video of easy everyday makeup for women of color specially black women.. I really want to see your take on it.. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE

  13. Lisa i find your tutorials to be the best in YouTube, I guess everyone has a taste in how makeup should look for them, but your tutorials are just so informative and professionally done! And you're such a classy, polished, subtle beauty, I love it!! Much love to you Lisa ❤️
