I did very dramatic colourful smoky eyes for Vogue and ELLE shoots recently which a lot of you really liked so I did this slightly more wearable version on myself to demonstrate the technique. You can choose whichever colours you like, its fun and a good way to use up all the bright eye shadows you rarely use. Hope you like it
As I said in the video, I had a big spot underneath my left eye so its quite swollen underneath and making me look a bit tired… thats life!

I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone's skin is different and it's possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. And after you think you have seen all of Lisa's videos a hundred of times, you find one you oddly missed somehow, and such a great one!

  2. Tried this the other day with two palettes I got as gifts. The colors look pretty but I just never had any use for them or they weren't quite what I wanted, and I was about to throw them out actually. I tried this look with some of the colors and it really works wonderfully! I put too much black base and it blended out a little too far, but I was just playing around before I washed my face so it's not a big deal. I can definitely keep these palettes around and actually use them now.

  3. Lisa, I love you. Little tips like putting color over a black cream base sound really simple, but it just never occurred to me that it would have this effect. I have plenty of greens that I couldn't quite make look the way I wanted, and I have a feeling this is going to do the trick. I'm really in love with the result, as well, I might just try more colors than I ever thought I'd use.

  4. I bought a stupid set poster shades and never use I have a purpose for them now. thank you. I bought Barry M pots on offer never open them. I bought because a store was shutting at.. 25p at the time stacks of them in a box, thinking I will use these and never do. Thank you, couldnt tell if green or hazel eyes the video made them look green.

  5. Waw this Make up is stunning, you make everything look soooo classy ! You are the best Youtuber ever ! We send you lot of love from France and thank you so much for teaching us How to be beautiful without tons of products. We wish you the best.

  6. I've got to admit when I first saw all that colors on your eyelids I thought "Oh my no way is that going to look nice. First look made by Lisa Elidridge that I don't like " , but it all looks great in the end!!! Thank you for your tutorials, I tried your classic smokey eye on me today and it looked great! I love that you try keeping it as simple as possible as I really think most other girls on YouTube really get things overly complicated and not with better outcomes than more simple stuff. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
