I travel to Paris for work a lot and when I’m there I ALWAYS make time for a pharmacie shop. These are a few of my favourite brands & products from over the years plus a couple of new finds. Some of the items have been in my kit for longer than I’d care to mention ; ) Although several of these brands are now available in the UK, I still prefer a French Pharmacie shop to buying them in a department store back home – and there is always the excitement of discovering something new! I havent edited this video …. so it is quite long! Hope you find it interesting.

Disclaimer
I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. Ok so Caudalie is a brand very close yo my heart, every product I tried from them worked really well with the exception of that spray the elixir. That pray smells like mint candy so artificial and childish compared to every other product from them, it feels a bit cooling and that's it. Seriously the smell is unpleasant, I saw no effect after using it for 3 weeks and it's really expensive.

  2. Watching in 2018 lol love your videos! I love micellar waters! I first used Bioderma and fell in love but since then I've found the Garnier one with the pink cap which is basically the same and is quite cheaper here in the states. I have to say that there is not a product I buy more often and replace so quickly as that Garnier micellar water. I always keep travel size ones as well.

  3. I lived in Germany in the late seventies early eighties and their Apotheke shops were the same. I was fascinated by them (also the cake shops which also sold those little pots of really creamy hot chocolate. .you could top up your cup…omg )I also stopped smoking when I was there so I went from just under nine stone to nearly thirteen. .I'm nearly six foot tall, I discovered that Deutschmarks and the old five pence pieces were exactly the same size and weight so I collected as many as I could on a trip home and then I got my ciggies for 15p instead of 3 msrks which was equivalent to 75p…
Oh lord it feels like centuries ago lol! I worked with horses and I used to take this lovely little Icelandic Pony to the cigarette machine (they had them in the streets…stramge). Anyway, the next time ome of the family took the pony out she made a beeline for the fag machine and couldn't be dissuaded. ..I used to give her mints lol!

  4. Unfortunately, all of them test on animals:/ Don't get me wrong, i'm not here to condemn contented consumers – i was using Nuxe, LRP, Caudalie, Bioderma for years. Nuxe was my biggest and also tragical love among these brands. I hope one day they will become an ethical brand or at least they'll be honest with consumers. Still searching for satisfying cruelty free alternative for Nuxe, though.

  5. Thank you Lisa for this video. Yes ! Citypharma is the best address in Paris. I go there quite often to get my products but I didn’t know they had their own brand !!! When I go there, I am usually on a rush after work and it’s so crowdy. Thank you for the information. I’ve just discovered your videos on YouTube, and I became addict ! You’re such a source of inspiration ! Thank you !

  6. Bioderma and La Roche Posay have very good products. Vichy and Avene are in my opinion are mostly brand an marketing. Of course this is a personal preference. I also like Uriage, not as much as the first two, but good.
