Disclaimer
I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. I really want to try that EL double wear light foundation now, but I looked it up, and it has literally 6 shades. What??? There's no way I'm spending money on a foundation that will most likely not have a shade to match me, which is so disappointing because bots website showed amazing reviews on this.

  2. hi, thank you for all your wonderful videos, i love them and always learn a lot from them. Just want to ask what powder would you recommend for hot weather? You said you skip powder for yourself but if i would need a bit of powder that feels light and doesn't change the look of my make-up..what powder would you recommend for hot weather? thank you
ps: the sound of your rings relaxes me as well.. glad to see that i am not the only one hahahah

  3. I know my comment is so late and probably Lisa's not gonna even see it but… Did you try "couvrance" cream foundation from Avène ? It's very high SPF 30 I think it's not exactly a foundation, it's more like a cross between cream foundation and sun block, I've been using it for years now and I have extremely oily skin, I sweat alot, and do I live in a hot country? Hell YES I live in Tunisia… I can't use any other sun block cause my skin is so oily, when I put any type of cream or moisturiser I start to sweat extremely in the face. . The only thing that stays in my face perfectly is couvrance for oily skin…
I sometimes use powder over it to make it stay, but even without powder I find it stays better than alot of drugstore foundations…
It was suggested to me by my friend and since then it's my ultimate life savior.
Really try it if you struggle with oily skin and hot weather like me.

  4. I loved cannonball, always using it because of hooded eyes. But got desperate when couldn't find it while they were changing the package. I found marks and spenser aqua proof and semipermanent mascara

  5. Cetaphil has an oil control moisturizer (for acne prone skin, but I use it anyways) with broad spectrum SPF 30 that I SWEAR BY. I have super oily skin and it works magic. My skin still gets somewhat oily, but no where NEAR how awful it used to be!
If people are looking for a cheaper option.

  6. I've started using your methods for my daily make up… and I love it… I'm 35… I don't need the "instagram" look… I want fresh and natural… and learning tips of how to lightly apply foundation or the "no foundation" look has helped me so much… I'm more focused on skin care and letting myself shine through… not cover… thank you!

I would really love a video on cruelty free products!

  7. Well, I wasn't finished! lol I live in hot and muggy South Texas. I am going to use your pointers for a summer look here. Usually everything slides off! I have a hard time after a shower getting and STAYING dry! I have a standing fan in my bedroom to help dry me off so I can put in makeup and get dressed. I love your looks, Lisa, and I can adjust colors and intensity to get a look right for me. Thank you for making makeup fun for an older lady!!!

  8. Can anyone tell that which foundation will work best if you are very dry skin and going to live in a very hot humid area.i am thinking of estee lauder double wear.but fear about my dry skin.

  9. Hey Lisa, I know you did already quite some bridal tutorials but I would really appreciate if you could do a bridal makeup tutorial for tropical and humid environment. Thank you! 🙂
