I’ve had a huge amount of emails & comments asking what my favourite nail colours are. Well, as a nail polish addict I have quite a few. This video covers some of my top favourites and why I personally love them. It also features a cool storage item I spied on a shoot recently. What are your favourite shades? How do you fellow nail colour addicts store your bottles?
For more details of the polish storage roll and shade details visit my website.

I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. I love layering Marrow under Knackered, which is another Butter London polish. I think I saw that look on a runway a couple of years ago and I really liked it. I also like Dahling (another BL shade) and layering that under Knackered. Knackered on its own is one of my all time favorites, which is probably why I like layering it on so many other polishes. 🙂

  2. I just love OPI polishes, the only more expensive brand i buy, the quality is great. i have a Jessica nail polish in pink, it cost €10 and it's not that nice of a quality as OPI. I can't get Essie, i always wanted to try them and the Dior/Chanel/YSL polishes where i live have been sitting on the counters for years, they never bring new collections and they only have a few colours, it's a shame. But i can get OPI online and i love them.

  3. OPI just came out with a Texas Collection of I believe 10 colors. All beautiful colors and I wish they weren't so hard to find in hometown. But if you get a chance, Lisa, check them out. I love the colors you choose.

  4. Hello all!
If someone is looking for an alternative to Dior Nude Chic/Safari Beige – 219, I would highly recommend Jolis Matins (220M) by Lancôme. Perfect coverage in one coat, glossy finish and it dries really fast and what is more, it perfectly fits to my skin tone (I have similar to Lisa's). I tired several shades by several companies (YSL, Dior, etc), but this is far more the best.
Here you can read a post about it (it is not mine): http://www.amodelrecommends.com/2012/06/12/lancome-vernis-in-love-jolis-matins/
Thank you Lisa for all the inspirational videos, I have learned a lot already. 🙂

  5. all of the shades are amazing and more so on you.i love your videos.they are so helpful.i really like the fact that you dont paint yourself with makeup like so many others.you keep it very to the point and beautiful.

  6. She is class all the way! Effortless beauty, perfection, a descrete lady…. these words came to mind when I saw her. I've never subscribed to anyone's channel this fast. I was hooked after a few seconds into the video. She can speak beautifully, very articulate & her voice is great too, very soothing. Finally someone who you can learn LOADS from within a short period of time. Cheers to you Lisa! xx

  7. I think you'd like my favorite dark grey – Over The Top by Essie
I goes on a bit sheer so you need two coats at least but the shimmer in it is so fine it gives this totally unique glow that you have to apply to the nail to see. You cannot see it just looking at the bottle.
It's so hard to describe – it's almost translucent and has this inner light which I absolutely love. Like dark grey glass?
I'm with you on straight blacks so this is a really good alternative for me.
