Disclaimer
I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. Hi everyone =) I got a sample of the clarins primer (the first time I used primer..) and my skin reacted in a very unpleasant way. I also got reactions to other clarins creams (samples) but I thought I give it a go. I know I do have very sensitive (rather dry) skin, so can anyone recommend a primer for sensitive skin? 🙂

  2. Your presentation was most informative and greatly appreciated.  Thanks for your expertise with the many different products.  I was also resistant to use a primer after moisturizer and felt it was just to heavy.  I shall give the primer you demonstrated a try and I also have one other you pointed out to be beneficial.  My skin is very oily but needs some more help lately.  Thanks

  3. Thank you yet again for another great, informative video! Is there any way that you could do an updated one?? There are so many ones out there and I'm an aspiring MUA trying to figure out which products are worth having! Thank you for your amazing wisdom and for sharing it! xOx

  4. Hi, Thank you for this video. I use Mario Badescu oil free spf 30 moisturizer on my skin every morning. It's the only broad spectrum spf moisturizer I have found that does not "gum" up my foundation. Would you agree SPF is a must in skin care routine? If you suggest using a primer instead of a moisturizer with SPF how would we solve this problem ? (since there are hardly any primer's out there with spf as high as 30 excepting the one you mentioned which is only spf20). Could one apply an spf moisturizer EARLY in the day's skin care routine and waiting a good length of time for it to absorb then try the primer? I'm sure many people would be curious. Thank you so much. Your video's are great.

  5. I just discover this video and I reaaly enjoyed it! Lisa is such an amazing teacher. I don't really use primer because of my oily skin issues and a lot of them causes me to breakout. It makes so much sense to use moisturizer instead of primer. Excellent video!

  6. Hi, Lisa, thank you so much for all the tutorials you are doing! I would also like to beg for an updated primer video! Especially on how to choose the right primer for different types of foundations (water-based, powder, etc.), and also if you could recommend some moisturizers and sunscreens that work well with makeup.

  7. I finally found the clarins beauty flash balm in Singapore(not available in HK) but it's a nightmare to apply anything over it. (Yes I do pat, light sweep like in the clarins video) hopefully Lisa will reveal the secret.

  8. I have always used the Clarins Beauty Flash balm as skincare before and when I saw this vid years back, I tried it as a primer and that was when trouble started LOL Couldn't get a foundation that really fits it and my foundation will always end up rubbing off and making a mess. Still can't get it right unfortunately…sigh~~~
