isn't it like that that most of that hair oils are sensitive to heat? I thought it is not recommended to use it before styling with heat (by hot air or ironing…)? is it always ok to use these hair oils right before one would iron the hair?

actually it's a little 'funny' that heads and shoulders works so good regarding dandruff because it is free of a rather common sulfate – sodium laureth sulfate. I always thought I have bad scalp and will always have dandruff and have to wash them every second day. but I was anly reacting to that sulfate. there are some 'regula' shampoos at the drugstore without it, one has to look. but the big majority have them. heads and shoulders doesn't. I myself use another shampoo, but when I am out of it (unexpectedly) or on vacation I use heads and shoulders and I am carefree.

My hair is about the same length and texture of your's. It grows crazy fast, and I was finding myself having to color as often as you. I was tired of coloring so often so I did some research and tried the L'Oréal Age Defy hair color. It's formulated for aging hair that's changing, so I decided to try it. I love it! I find that I go longer (once a month ), I'm able to just do my roots and I just make sure that I blend enough so there are no lines of demarcation. ……so I'm only using 1-2 boxes instead of 3, the color is beautiful with its own highlights. I have never used a better box color!
I was using Wen shampoo. I kept telling my husband that my hair seemed thinner, there was more in the drain and my comb. I stopped using it. A month or so ago I got a letter telling me that there was a class action suit against Chaz (the creator ) and Guthrie Renker. I knew it wasn't just me! So I searched videos and there were a ton. Now I am using a repair system made by Pantene in conjunction with Age Defy hair color. It's a shampoo, conditioner and a serum that you put on your roots in the places you are noticing the most problems. You flip your head over and gently rub it into your scalp until it's all absorbed. I love it. I had my hair trimmed Saturday and my stylist said she definitely noticed a difference in the volume and it was thickening up well.
Other than that I love the Dove products, the Argon oil for my ends every night, and about 2 times a month I saturate my hair with coconut oil (I scoop it right out of the jar) , massage it in from the scalp down to the end, twist it up and cover my hair with a plastic bag. I sleep with it in and shampoo out the next morning. My hair loves it. …….my husband not so much. LOL
