After having oily skin as a teenager I went on to develop acne in my 20’s and spent a lot of time researching ingredients and products that would help to keep my skin clear and healthy looking. Like lots of people, my skin doesn’t fit into one category, its oily/combination, prone to spots, breakouts and blackheads, prone to pigmentation and unevenness, dehydrated and mature (by skincare companies standards).

  5. Hi Lisa, love your videos. you are the queen of skin care advice in my eyes. Im wondering what your thoughts are on "The Ordinary' products. They sell loads of products containing the magic ingredients you speak of and i was wondering if you have tried them and if so what are your thoughts?

  10. Just turned 35 and starting to see a few lines coming through (mostly in my forehead) and would like to start to use an anti wrinkle cream. I guess all my early years of sun worshipping and not moisturizing is coming to smack me in the ass 🙁
    I have a fair complexion with plenty of freckles.
    Any advice at all would be great as there is so much out there not sure which way to go

  11. I use lactic 65% acid and gycolic 50% peels and it gives me a bright clear look. I use the ordinary line which has a lactic 10% with an HA2% and that works lovely as well. Korean skin CosRX skin care has some good acids in there products as well. My skin is normal sometimes dry so I use these adds to take fr the dead dry skin and it dirks perfect

  16. Lisa, I've started looking into the brand Paula's Choice based on a sunscreen you recommended, and I see they have a lot of daily-use lotion and liquid type BHA exfoliants. Do you think it makes a difference whether one uses a product like that daily or uses the Dermalogica mask you recommend weekly?

    Thanks to you I have finally decided to treat my skin as it deserves, but I have a couple of questions, I really hope you find time to answer. 1) If I use a no-rinse cleanser (e.g. Extremely Gentle Cleanser by Avène), and actually do not rinse it, it leaves a sticky feeling on my skin. Is it wrong to rinse the face after, or what can I do alternatively? 2) I am using regular cottons pads to wipe off the cleanser, but it feels like rubbing with the pad aggravates my skin – although I try to apply as little pressure as possible  – is there more gentle way to remove the cleanser? 3) Do you recommend to use cleanser also in the morning?
