I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. There are so many great natural, organic, and vegan brands even for artists. The brand 100% Pure has really great foundation formulas and strong, modern editorial lipstick colors, etc. There’s a vegan lipstick brand called Elixery house that makes beautiful modern colors. Arbonne and Pacifica are completely vegan and also have great, modern products. Just do more digging. Tarte doesn’t count. Lol.

  2. This has become perhaps my favorite look you do. I appreciate the more naturally-based, cruelty-free brands and such, but really, it is just a gorgeous color combination,. and I love you appreciate more natural brands translating into a more glamourous look. But i love cool-toned burgundy-ish shadows as of late. Love red tones on my skin. Pale cold toned skin with blonde hair and ice green eyes

  3. You must somehow do a show with Nigella, Lisa. You both have such a gentle, elegant and wonderful voice and a fantastic wealth of knowledge in your respective fields. It would be the best thing ever!

  4. Lisa, come July of 2017 Australia where I live is going to be outlawing all cosmetic products that test on animals. Could you do a video on your pick of cruelty-free skincare and makeup? I don't recall you having done one before?

  5. I love this! Please continue to do more videos on cruelty-free / organic brands, hopefully from Southeast Asia and/or East Asia or even the Indian subcontinent! I know THREE Cosmetics from Japan is cruelty-free and for the most part organic – would love to see a tutorial with their products. Will definitely be trying out some of these brands in your video now.

  6. I've been using green cosmetics for a few years now, after not really getting along with 'conventional' make-up brands as they often would make my eyes itch and my skin red and irritated. ILIA is one of my favourite brands, as well as Axiology (very unique, awesome lipstick colours). Alima Pure makes great eyeliners and RMS Beauty has a new range of powder eyeshadows which are great. I struggled finding a natural foundation that I liked, until I just recently discovered Gressa Skin. Their foundation is amazing. I've tried almost all other make-up products they have as well now and every single one of them is great. I really enjoy seeing videos that incorporate these kinds of products, since they sometimes do perform a little differently than regular cosmetics.

I don't usually comment on videos, but I would just like to say how much of a breath of fresh air this channel is. A lot of channels do excessive contouring, bronzing and highlighting just for the sake of it and creating looks that don't really form a whole, or always kind of look the same. That's just not the kind of make-up I personally enjoy doing on myself. It's hard to find channels that are different and educational (in my opinion). I've learned a lot from watching this channel, it's great!

Hope you have a lovely day 🙂

  7. Lisa, I dont comment on many videos but I have to on this! I've recently started freelancing for MAC cosmetics and its really opening my eyes to different types of makeup artistry there is. Because of this, you are now my favorite youtuber as your work is so refreshing and original. You don't see the need to use products that everyone else uses, or fall into trends such as 'baking' etc.
You are the definition of a real adaptable and versatile makeup artist.
Thank you for giving me my inspiration back and reminding me that there is more to makeup than youtube and instagram trends.
