Suzie Builds CORNSTARCH Nails

Honestly, I don't EVER paint my nails much less my toes, but for some reason the title caught my attention. And as I was watching, I was wonder, "WHY AM I STILL WATCHING THIS!?!?!?". Hahaha But I did watch to the end and it had everything to do with your energy. It's quite pleasant. I think your presentation was well done. I had fun watching you play in the corn starch. Your set is also well done. This video made me smile for some reason. Well Done!

But I still have no intention of getting my nails done. 🙂

It would take at least an hour and a half to do ten nails! (Which shouldn't bother me because I was perfectly willing to sit and watch this video…and I don't even want to do my nails! She's delightful.

Hate those pointed nails not natural looking.

I'm so addicted to eating plain cornstarch it's ridiculous. Especially the Kroger brand. But this is something I will definitely be trying…I'm willing to sacrifice a little of my cornstarch for a good set of nails, lol.

How many days till it snapped or lifted??

Maybe the strength is in the type of nail polish you use? Like if you use the gel polish and put it in the light? Or nail strengthener polish? Maybe that makes a difference? Also, I didn't even realize the length of video until I scrolled down to make a comment! She's so informative and her voice is easy & soothing!

be very careful with better quality nail glues! I use IBD 5-Seconds from Sally's in USA, (about as good as I've been able to find just retail as opposed to professional but it works like a dream!) and I find when using silk wraps to repair my nails, or if it happens to touch cotton, it WILL start smoking. between moisture and dry time, theres something in the chemistry that makes it extremely flammable and liable to ignite. work slowly, bit by bit when using repair wraps made of fibrous materials, to avoid ignition. you'll see a tiny bit of smoke, that's alright! that's when you STOP for a minute and let it dry fully. this is all with trial and error though so if someone can scientifically explain this, please do!! until it is, I would maybe refrain from unsupervised use in even remotely humid conditions. I've even seen this with Wal-Mart brand nail glues before though, just less often, probably due to a diluted formula or something? dunno. just wanted to warn any beginners like myself!! don't freak out and drop stuff, just slow down a minute! you're alright!

As you said dipping would less let it powder up to inhale. I like the idea. I don't like idea of acrylic. Toxic smell. Too bad takes forever. No good aw I'm sad

I’m wondering if this would actually be a good replacement trying to grow out your nails..no tips..you really wouldn’t be so concerned with structure..

I noticed that she glued the fake nail a bit lower than the people who do my nails. Is this so they don’t last as long and I have to go and get them done more frequently?

I’m not done with the video yet but if you were doing all of your nails like this and you did one layer at a time and then move on to the next nail would I work better because it has a bit more drying time?

you know you can use modge podge and corctarch too- I typically use a thin layer of tissue paper with it for strength and often times use a colored pretty printed paper from Joannes fabric or a thin cotton material, cut the nail shape and use modge podge to decorate my nails, it turns out well and lasts about a week, but it's fun and modge podge does set quickly

why am I even watching these? I'm never gonna use them

I am in JROTC and we aren’t allowed to have bright colors.. only nudes or a light pink nude and we aren’t allowed to have long nails either. Definitely gonna try this even though you don’t recommend it..
