Last Wednesday morning I posted images of a recent red carpet make-up look I’d done for actress Gemma Arterton and described the make up as a ‘No Make-up’ makeup.
I asked in the post if anyone would like to see a tutorial on this type of look (which is something of a signature look for me) and was overwhelmed with the response. So many people requested a tutorial… I had to get straight on it!!

I’ve done this look for hundreds of shoots for the worlds glossiest mags like Vogue, Glamour etc. I’ve also done it for countless celebrities for red carpet, movie press junkets and shoots. As I say in the video you can go as far as you like with it but always remember the tones have to work with your natural skin tones so nothing clashy and NEVER use glossy or overly shimmery textures as these do not occur naturally in the skin in real life so will always look artificial. Save the all over shimmer and gloss for a shimmery summer look. I left the edit long as there were so many tips! I did ask on FB yesterday if viewers would prefer a shorter edit and over 350 of my make-up bunnies commented instantly to say absolutely NOooo! I use the same techniques in the video I use for the A-listers ; )

I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.
I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.
I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

This is the only no makeup makeup tutorial that actually looks like a no makeup look. All the rest of the videos on YouTube seem to look heavy
This is what i do the highlighter makes all the differences esp liquid one! People compliment my skin alot when i do no makeup makeup lol
awesome
This video is genius! Thank you so much!
Very beautiful. And you look younger!
Oh the lost art of simplicity…The true beauty of less…
Too many products and processes
required…my initial thought. Obviously not ‘effortless’ make up lol. It looks like no make up look requires way more effort and products than normal make up look.
While you do a beautifful job, I find it really upsetting that most of your products were tested on animals and are full of cruelty. There're SO many ways to be beautiful and cruelty free.
WOW !! finally I get all the maximum results, it is not worth it I watch this video, very helpful at all …
i love really with this video ..

After 7 years later it's still the best no makeup makeup look
Hi Lisa, I have dark spots on my cheeks, could you please make a tutorial to cover these spots in a natural way! I normally use a lot of foundation it doesn´t look natural but it is the only way to cover it! Thank you!
Watching this vid in 2018.
And looking at the before and after….that is what we REALLY call a no makeup makeup look. I am a subscriber of a couple of beauty gurus here on YT but Ms. Eldridge is the real deal and I mean THE REAL DEAL when it comes to makeup stuff.
Great techniques! I like the way you break everything down and make it so simple.
I never get bored watching your videos over and over again. Your personality is the definition of no makeup, just natural, genuine, glowing, lovely self. You truly bring a natural and wholesome light to YOUTUBE and your viewers.
Thank you xo!
No matter what anyone does you can still tell they are wearing make up lol but this is cute and perfect for me, i already put very ltitle makeup on for interviews and the odd occasion but still found it too time consuming and a lot of work, it takes me an hour just to do powder, blush, eyeshadow and mascara lol like i'm NOT cut out for it AT ALL 😛 i dunno how girls wakeup an hour or 2 early, skip out on sleep JUST to do their makeup, so i just wanna tone it down even more, i already used just my finger for some brown eyeshadow and to put powder over my dark circles as a quick way to conceal and Rimmel London's powder is great because it's Matte so looks concealed too, but i know with growing excessive hair i need to conceal around my chin and mouth so it's like i can't do what i was doing AND conceal it will take me probs another 10 mins lol but i can't afford an hour as it is because it takes me 45 mins if i hurry a bit just to get dressed and brush my hair then pop my headband, i'll probs need a heavier concealer though for around my chin and mouth to cover the dark areas and if i break out in spots around my mouth which i regularly do because my skin is so oily, i'm probs gonna get a couple cheap pots of mask because my skin could use it but i think what you did here will cut down on the time it takes me to do makeup for sure, i wish i could go to interviews without any on but such is life lol. Thanks a lot.
30 january 2018, anyone?
Where do you get your headbands? 🙂

Ive been doing this without knowing i was right loool now when im too lazy to do makeup i take a red lipstick dot it on my lips cheeks and eyelid and everyone thinks ive done the most lol
I have never been passionate about make up (just the minimal stuff). Lisa got me hooked! This tutorial is my bible 🙂 I have started searching for my make up products and actually can't wait to put my no make make up on everyday! I have tlearn so much from your videos Lisa. Thank you!
i've been enjoying your channel very much 🙂 my only suggestion, would be for the brightness of your studio or camera lights to be dialed down a bit? it's hard to see or distinguish the product (especially foundation) being applied on your skin from the skin itself. thank you. 'hope the suggestion makes sense.
It’s 2018 and I still keep on coming back to this
